As a first time home buyer he patiently walked me through my options, gave me good analogies, never pressured me or made me feel silly for not knowing things. He got me a good rate and offered these really helpful videos explaining things that would be challenging to do over the phone (e.g. walking through the mortgage documents and explaining what everything means). Dawn at Andrew's office was also great and very helpful. She was very communicative and never left me to wonder what the next steps were. For example, on Fridays near end of business she would reach out to let me know there wasn't news so I wouldn't wonder all weekend. She also prepared helpful videos too showing me where to find things in my banking portal or what elements were missing from documents.
